(June 9 to 16, 2011) Spitsbergen is the largest island in the Norwegian-administered archipelago known as Svalbard. It is famed for its high population of polar bears, its native Svalbard reindeer and its rugged Arctic landscape, featuring pristine glaciers, craggy peaks, sweeping tundra meadows.
If you want to see allt he Arctic has to offer, but a limited amount of vacation time, this is your trip.
