Day 7 - Wow! Camping outside was awesome!

Wow! Camping outside was awesome!  It was a little cold in the morning and we had to go to the bathroom in a bucket (we can't leave ANYTHING on land!) but it was worth it.  We camped on shore with a fur seal sleeping on a rock nearby.  We could hear penguins calling each other all night in the distance and the ship looked cool all lit up out in the bay.

Unfortunately, the weather stopped us from making any big landings today but that was ok because I needed a little more sleep!  Later in the day we saw a whole bunch of humpback whales!  They were just cruising around the ship with their babies looking for food.  Even on the days we can't go to shore we still get to see lots of wildlife.

You don't want to know what happened next!  After supper we got our bathing suits on!  No, there was not a hot tub party...it was a polar dip!  I dragged my dad down to the platform and we jumped in with about 40 other people!  It was freezing!  I cannon balled in and got out as fast as I could.  It didn't take long to warm up because they were there with a hot chocolate.  I will never forget that!

Two landings tomorrow to get ready for!
