Icebergs to the Left, South Shetlands to the Right

By Blog.Admin

I'm sitting in the auditorium of the icebreaker, waiting for the presentation on Emperor Penguins. We have already heard the thunk of small icebergs hitting the hull. To port is a huge tabular iceberg shrouded by fog. The Shetland Islands are to starboard, so says Shane. We can't see them. The decision has been made to steam to Snow Hill with no landings en route. Shane is taking advantage of predicted current weather conditions. We are supposed to have 2 sunny days - November 25 and 26. Tony Marr's Penguin Presentation is to prepare us for the adventure tomorrow!
