Frost Flowers

“The earth laughs in flowers.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson So how do these pretty bouquets bloom ?  Frost Flowers are formed on new and thin ice sublimates.  Ice that changes directly from a solid to a gas,  bypassing the liquid stage.
