As Lent Begins - We Add Easter Island to our Trip Extensions

The timing is coincidental, but nonetheless fitting. We have added a trip to Easter Island to our trip extensions from Chile.
Day 8 - We got to see Orca!

Unfortunately, the weather has been rough this morning and we haven't been able to make our morning landing. We did get to see some whales including an Orca!
Day 7 - Wow! Camping outside was awesome!

Wow! Camping outside was awesome! It was a little cold in the morning and we had to go to the bathroom in a bucket (we can't leave ANYTHING on land!) but it was worth it.
Day 6 - Port Charcot. I got to get up close to a penguin!

Yesterday we almost didn't get to land because the weather wasn't great but we waited and it cleared up. This landing is at Port Charcot and named after a french adventurer. That was good luck because I got to get up close to a penguin!
Day 5 started early again and just like the last landing we had a long hike up a hill.

Day 5 started early again and just like the last landing we had a long hike up a big hill. We weren't disappointed because we saw so many penguins...not just penguins but baby chick penguins as well!
Day 4 - Today was amazing

Today was amazing. We got up early for breakfast and then got ready to make our first landing. It was raining but that didn't stop the penguins from racing around our boat.

As we pulled into the Ushuaia Harbor, you could sense the anxiety – similar to our departure – the trip was over, leaving new friends, memories of the past twelve days together, and all the adventures we have collectively, and individually, shared.
