October 11, 2010 - Claire and I are packed and ready to head south for what we know will be an unforgettable journey. We leave California today and it will take us a good day and a half - two days to reach our destination of Ushuaia (at the lower tip of South America - called "the southernmost city in the world")
(August 14, 2010, 16:00) - BELCHER CHANNEL - Hamish Fothergill reporting - Waking at 7:00 for an early visit to Trappers Cove and a trudge acrossanother tundra. The presence of arctic poppies only added to the stunning appearance of the area.
