Upgrade your Airport Wait - Pay-in Lounges

I flew to Ushuaia via Miami last November. My layover was nearly 8 hours. I was pleased to learn of a special - one day membership to the American Lounge. Cost me $50 for the access, but it included a beverage and snacks and wireless Internet access. And the chairs were more comfortable!

The Northeast Passage - 100 Years of Discovery

In 1910, the Tsar of Russia sent two Imperial Navy icebreakers - Taymyr and Vaygach - to survey the Northeast Passage. The five year mission was known as the Arctic Ocean Hydrographic Expedition. Without the work of those intrepid sailors and ships, our 20th anniversary sailing of the Northeast Passage would not be possible.

Remastering the Heroic Age of Antarctic Exploration

Herbert Ponting was Robert Falcon Scott's official cinematographer during that last fatal expedition to Antarctica from 1910-1912. Ponting returned, Scott did not. The film Ponting made = The Great White Silence of that experience was released in 1924 under the title The Great White Silence.
