Antarctica’s Scotia Arc The Ultimate Insider’s Voyage

25 days

This voyage will take you off the beaten track—to rare and seldom-visited sites—for a true insider’s journey to Antarctica. Our expedition will follow a narrow chain of islands, called the Scotia Arc, linking the southernmost Andes and Antarctica and will call in at the beautiful Falklands and South Georgia before heading south to the lesser-known and more remote South Sandwich, South Orkney and South Shetland archipelagos.

Day-by-Day Expedition in Brief

  • Experience the Southern Ocean’s more remote South Sandwich, Orkney and Shetland archipelagos
  • An ideal voyage for birders and some of the largest penguin colonies in Antarctica
  • Visits to active volcanoes and lectures from Quark’s passionate Polar experts

Nestled within the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, Ushuaia offers you a small-town feel but has many shops, museums, cafes and restaurants to enjoy before your voyage.
