Expedition Leader & Historian
Hadleigh has worked for Quark since 2008 and has filled the roles of Expedition Leader, Expedition Coordinator, Guide and Historian. He has also managed expedition operations from Quark's Headquarters in North America. Hadleigh grew up in England but has recently lived in Canada and the USA. He has travelled extensively, most notably in the Arctic and Antarctic, and has completed over fifty expeditions to the Polar Regions. These include three traverses of the Northwest Passage, expeditions to East and West Greenland, Baffin Island, Svalbard, the Falkland Islands (Malvinas), islands of the Scotia Sea and Antarctica. As a certified NAUI Divemaster, when Hadleigh gets time off he likes to dive and explore the underwater world but also enjoys the heights of alpine mountaineering. Outside of history he has a strong interest in sea ice and icebergs and their effect on local ecology. This must stem from his degree in biological sciences. Hadleigh also practiced fine art at Central St. Martins' in London.
