Keith Thompson

Keith calls the rugged coast and dense rainforest of southeast Alaska home. Keith splits his time seasonally between the capital city of Juneau, and the small bush community of Gustavus. He has been guiding and photographing in the Polar Regions since 2010.

Keith is a licensed captain and captains an adventure cruise ship that explores the Inside Passage of southeast Alaska and Glacier Bay National Park. He has also been a licensed massage therapist since 1998.

When not at sea, Keith can be found building his house in the remote village of Gustavus and exploring the vast wilderness that surrounds his home.

Keith's advice to first-time travelers in the Polar Regions is to never miss an opportunity to be outside, even on board the ship. Take every opportunity to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of these fascinating destinations and don't forget to bring your camera.
