Jill Lei

Jill is an award nominated screenwriter and director from Beijing, China. Her career prior to joining Quark was in the Chinese film industry specializing in cross border co-production. In 2015, she started working in the Polar Regions with Quark Expeditions, and these icy worlds will never cease to amaze her.

Jill is passionate about film, culture and language. She is fluent in English and Mandarin, and is currently learning other languages. She is also an experienced horseback rider and has been riding since she was thirteen. When she was nineteen, Jill was part of a team of equestrians who rode over 400 km of the vast prairie along the border between China and Russia in just six days.

Jill cracks up over the antics of polar wildlife, and loves watching guests who can't help but smile at the magnificent nature around them.
