Antarctica, South Georgia & the Falkland Islands
Hi Everyone,
I am a Canadian photographer and I recently (Dec. 2010) returned from an expedition to Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falkland Islands - it was the "Explorers Quest" from Quark. It was an amazing trip. Actually, that is an understatement.
When I was planning our trip, I found a lot of useful travel and photography information - and I would like to share it with you, along with my experience with what worked, and what did not. I have written a 25 part series on the whole experience - I just thought it might help someone out who is planning a voyage to this part of the world.

Thank you so much for posting this! My wife and I have booked the December 2012 trip to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica with Quark, and we found your accounts to be by far the most comprehensive (and entertaining) of any that we have discovered. Although we had been on an Arctic trip with Quark, we realized that this trip is quite different in several regards and therefore demands more attention to the myriad details. You filled in many blanks for us, and we really appreciate your sharing. We hope we have as great an overall experience as you had, and come back with as many great photos of those perfect moments as you exhibited!
