Going solo
I'm on the brink of confirming a provisional booking on the Antarctic explorer trip on Jan 11th 2011 but will be travelling on my own for the first time ever and i'm a bit apprehensive. Just wondered if there is anyone out there on the same trip i can chat to?

I'm not on this trip, however I did travel alone to Antarctica for the first time earlier this year and had the most amazing experience.
I booked Explorers Quest on Clipper Adventurer and found quite a lot of people had travelled alone - it was great fun getting to know people, especially as everyone was so friendly.
It really is a trip of a lifetime....and nearly a year on, the memories are still as vivid as ever!

Well i finally plucked up the courage and i've confirmed my place. I'm sure i'll have a brilliant time but at the moment it doesn't seem quite real!
Anyway i'm enjoying te excuse to do some shopping and i'm stocking up on the thermals and have a new camera i'm practising with.
I've still not found anyone going yet but it's reassuring to know there's likely to be other solo travellers. I'm glad you had a great time and i hope you have another adventure to look forward to. If i think of anything i need to know i'll be sure to drop you a line. Thankyou.
