Quark Expeditions was established in 1991. The first expedition was a voyage to the North Pole. 2011 marks Quark's 20th anniversary as a polar specialist.

Polar travelers often spend a year of more preparing for their adventure to the Arctic or Antarctica. They research the destination, then compare vessels and itineraries. We have a compare ships feature that will allow journalists and travelers alike to understand the differences among the ships in our fleet.
