Adrian Raeside: Return to Antarctica
Raeside completed the first draft aboard Kapitan Khlebnikov
[08.09 - NORWALK, CT] Adrian Raeside, cartoonist and grandson of Sir Charles Wright, who was a member of Robert Falcon Scott's final expedition, traveled to the Ross Sea on a Quark voyage. While sailing he completed the first draft of his book based on his grandfather's first person journals.
Return to Antarctica will be released shortly. It is a marvelous retelling of a story that you might believe is so well known that there is no need to retell it. You would be very wrong.
Adrian bring's to life the anonymous faces that surround the "heroes" in Ponting's photographs. Talented people in their own right, many went on to make significant contributions about which we are unaware. Adrian's book speaks for the unsung and overlooked.
