The Smithsonian Institution's Wondrous Cold: An Antarctic Journey

Quark supports a SITES Touring Exhibit

[03.08 - NORWALK, CT] The Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service (SITES) is touring a collection of photographs of Antarctica taken by distinguished photographer Joan Meyers. The tour is made possible through the generous support of Quark Expeditions.

When we saw the photographs taken by Joan during her sojourn in Antarctica, we were compelled to support the tour. Joan spent four months photographing the heart of Antarctica - the researchers and the people that support them. She also captured the landscape and the wildlife in a manner that illuminates the experience for the viewer.

The exhibit is a must for anyone who has been to Antarctica, and for anyone who dreams of going. From March 22 to June 1, 2008, the exhibit will be in Springfield, Massachusetts at the Springfield Museums. From there it moves to Ontario, California.

Ask for your free Quark Expeditions commemorative bookmark. They are available wherever the exhibit is installed.
