David Keith, a climate change scientist from the University of Calgary, in Canada, is working with a team of researchers to remove carbon dioxide directly from the air. His research will efficiently capture the greenhouse gas using what is described as "...near-commercial technology."
The machine will capture trace amounts of carbon dioxide present in the air, anywhere on the planet. This development is significant for travelers, because air capture technology will remove carbon dioxide from airplanes and other vehicles.
