August is a Master Baker who has moved into Hotel Operations. The route he took en route to becoming Quark Expeditions Assistant Manager, Hotel Operations is an interesting one.

August has confectioner's sugar in his blood. He got his start in the business in his family-owned bakery and confectioner's shop in Austria. August's sense of adventure lured him aboard an icebreaker, as Chef Patissier, in 1993. After a stint ashore working in labour leasing and real estate, he returned to the Expedition Hospitality Industry in 2002. He has been contributing to the success of Quark Expeditions ever since.
