Gateway to Los Glaciares National Park

Less than one hundred years old, El Calafate was a sleepy, wool village, until tourism was encouraged. The Argentine town is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Los Glaciares National Park that protects one of the most visited glaciers in the world - Perito Moreno Glacier. You’ll cruise on Lake Argentino with the Andes Mountains as a backdrop.

Special Considerations

  • Airfare to El Calafate and from El Calafate to Ushuaia is not included in the price.
  • Optional Full Day Tour - Upsala Glacier and Onelli Bay, 7:30 AM: Transfer from El Calafate to Puerto Bandera, where you will board a boat to sail Lake Argentino to the Devil’s Throat, where condors may be seen. The boat navigates to follow a trail in Onelli Bay to a small lake. You reboard the vessel and return to Puerto Bandera to transfer to El Calafate. Cost per person, USD$235, does not include the Park Admission, which is paid locally.
