Itinerary

Day 1

  • Private transfer from Keflavik International Airport/pier to Reykjavik Hotel to spend the night.
  • Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2

  • Breakfast.
  • Catch your shuttle to collect your rental car for the drive along the south shore to Thingvellir National Park.
  • Visit Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir Hot spring area.
  • Explore the black beaches around Vik and Myrdalsjokull Glacier.
  • Overnight in the region.
  • Optional: snow scooter tour on Myrdalsjokull glacier. Cost per person, based on 2 people: USD$200.

Day 3

  • Breakfast.
  • Drive through Kirkjubaejarklaustur.
  • Explore skaftafell National Park. The green park is surrounded by black desert sands and rests at the base of Vatnajokull Glacier. 
  • Overnight stay in or near the coastal town of Hofn.
  • Optional: Boat tour on Jokulsarlon Glacial Lagoon with glacier hike in skaftafell area. Cost per person: USD$115.

Day 4

  • Breakfast.
  • Drive to East Fjords to visit charming fishing villages nestled at the foot of towering mountains.
  • Overnight in the region.
  • Optional: Boat tour to Papey Island or visit Petra’s stone Col- lection. Cost per person: USD$85.
