20th Anniversary Voyages - North Pole
Our first polar expedition was to the North Pole in 1991. That was followed immediately by our very first Northeast Passage cruise. As a matter of fact, that was the first ever commercial transit of the Northeast Passage. Thus began our list of firsts and began 20 Years on Top.

July 27, 1991 - By various pathways we arrived at the Murmansk airport in mid-afternoon; most of us coming there by way of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. There was a long inexplicable wait before we were processed by immmigration and customs officials, and could board the buses for the drive to the city.
