Hawkeye is a private anaesthetist in Australia when he isn't taking care of our guests on an expedition ship. He speaks three languages - Australian, English and New Zealander. Doctor Dave is always ready to listen to our guests.
What keeps you returning season after season?
"There is always something different to see. There are always interesting guests. I've never been on a voyage without going to a place I haven't been previously."
If you could time travel, which historic expedition would you like to join, and why?
"I'd love to have met Shackleton. I expect I would have been impressed by his renowned charisma and charm. For organizational ability and strength of character, I think I would like to have been on Amundsen's Northwest Passage trip. I'm sure it would have been character-building."

"Make sure you bring a silly hat or bad taste t-shirt for the polar barbecue."
