Graeme Snow
The Australian, aka Snowy, first worked in Antarctica in 1990, as a Wintering Radio Technician. Snowy learned from his experience that Antarctica is not a great white expanse, but is incredibly colorful and vivid.
Snowy has joined these expeditions:
What skills do you call upon for your job?
"Flexibility, initiative and a calm approach."
What keeps you returning time after time?
"The people and the new experiences."
If you could time travel, which historic expedition would you join, and why?
"Operation High Jump in 1946-47, because so much of the Antarctic coast was explored and photographed from the air for the first time. Including the areas where I've spent most of my time working in Antarctica."
