Marcelo Vanecek
Marcelo is Quark’s representative in Ushuaia, Argentina. He is responsible for managing Quark’s operations for all Antarctic trips.
How did you get involved in the tourism industry?
I completed high school in the United States as an exchange student, and learned to see the world from a different perspective and speak English as a second language. Once I returned to Argentina, I spent every summer in Ushuaia in the travel industry, while I spent my winters in Buenos Aires earning a degree in Tourism and Hotel Management from the Universidad del Salvador.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I love my work which has given me the opportunity to get to know Antarctica and also the Canadian Arctic.
