About Andrew White
Andrew hails from Rangiora, New Zealand. His passion for the natural world was fostered by his family’s trips through the country’s beautiful landscapes when he was child. After earning a diploma in outdoor management and leadership at Otago Polytechnic, he started his career as an adventure guide.
The desire to explore and travel has taken Andrew all around the world, guiding in some amazing landscapes, from kayak guiding in Norway, Canada and New Zealand to dogsled guiding in the north of Norway. Additional adventures include a 7-week kayak trip along the Fiordland coast and a 3-week traverse of Kahurangi National Park. When not kayaking, Andrew can be found skiing, climbing, biking and hiking.
Andrew’s love of the history and nature of the Polar Regions has led him to guide for Quark Expeditions. He looks forward to sharing and growing his knowledge of the area with the friends he makes along the way.
