About Stefano Pozzi
Hailing from Italy, Stefano has always been deeply passionate about nature. Spending time outdoors daily is his priority, and he is especially devoted to rock climbing in summer and skiing and snowboarding in winter.
With a background in mathematics, Stefano graduated with honors from the University of Milan after 4 years of combined study in Italy, India, Norway and Sweden. He celebrated this achievement by taking off on a 3-month roundtrip solo bike tour from Milan to Lisbon, Portugal, following the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and covering a distance of 5,000 miles (8,000 km).
The taste of freedom gained through his bike tour and travels led Stefano to move to the Norwegian wilderness in 2011, where he worked as ski instructor and tour guide. In search of new challenges, he moved to Svalbard, in the High Arctic, in 2014, and completed the arctic nature guide program at university.
Today, Stefano is a full-time outdoor professional with experience in Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Australia, Italy and Nepal. Specializing in long skiing and hiking expeditions, he logs more than 100 field days and tent nights in the Norwegian Arctic.
Stefano’s mission as naturalist is to bring his guests closer to nature, providing them with the means to live in the wilderness, rather than merely survive there. In return, he loves learning something new from his guests every day.
