Getting to the Arctic

Quark’s Arctic voyages have various start and end points. Examples of gateway points include Longyearbyen (Svalbard, Norway), Helsinki (Finland), Reykjavik (Iceland), Toronto and/or Montreal (Canada). We encourage passengers to plan a minimum of two days of travel in case of lay-overs or unexpected airline delays.

Please note that on some Arctic voyages, a mandatory charter flight is required when booking your expedition. This charter flight will take the group from the departure city to the embarkation point where you will board the ship.

Please consult the voyage itinerary online or speak with a Quark Polar Travel Adviser for more information. Your Quark Polar Travel Adviser can book your flight and ensure you arrive in the departure city with enough time prior to your voyage.
