As a longtime traveler and travel writer, I’ve had the privilege of writing about my experiences in no fewer than 45 countries—including unforgettable adventures in the Polar Regions! My kryptonite is any opportunity to spend time in nature and immerse myself in the great outdoors. (Winter is definitely my favorite season!). My role as Brand Copywriter for Quark Expeditions is a natural step on a journey that started with a degree in Environmental Studies at the University of Waterloo followed by Journalism at the Toronto Metropolitan University and a Certificate in Digital Marketing & Communications. A robust career in print-and-digital publishing and storytelling led to travel blogging and travel writing, which morphed into travel-focused marketing and communications.  I now get to share my enthusiasm for the Polar Regions across multiple content platforms.

I’m a certified hike leader with Hike Ontario, and I volunteer with the Bruce Trail Conservancy. I’ve co-authored a nature book, “110 Nature Hot Spots in Manitoba and Saskatchewan” (Firefly Books).

My favorite polar moment: Observing a mama polar bear and her cubs in the sub-Arctic. That image will stay with me forever.

My travel philosophy: Head into nature whenever you can. That’s where you’ll discover the soul of a destination.
