Quark Expeditions is successfully operating voyages in the 2022 Arctic season and garnering rave reviews from guests. We continue to operate with generally accepted prevention and protection measures as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including vaccinations and boosters, as well as pre-arrival and embarkation testing. This has meant that hundreds of guests have already been able to experience the natural wonders of the Arctic with peace of mind, full of confidence that the precautions Quark Expeditions has taken ensure their safety, as well as that of the ship crew and staff. Virtually all passengers have raved about their recent Arctic experience as being “life changing” and “exhilarating.”
We are very encouraged by the rapid removal of protocols and guidelines for individual countries. And our optimism is further boosted by the news that Argentina—one of the main gateway countries to Antarctica—has removed vaccine and testing requirements as of April 2022. This is a clear indicator of the positive direction global travel is heading. Even through the cruise industry continues to recommend enhanced protocols, such as vaccine and testing requirements, we’re optimistic that many protocols will be substantially reduced by November 2022. For the time being, guests can expect vaccinations and pre-embarkation testing as standard procedure, while onboard protocols will be further relaxed. For our part, we’re thrilled to continue offering guests life-changing experiences in the Arctic on Ultramarine and Ocean Adventurer, and further extending those experiences to Antarctica on our full fleet of Antarctic ships, including Ultramarine, Ocean Adventurer, Ocean Diamond and World Explorer. Most of all, we look forward to seeing you there!
