About Sarah Hauser
Growing up in Ontario, Sarah discovered a love for the outdoors during childhood canoe trips with her parents and brothers in Algonquin Provincial Park. She took a 3-month outdoor leadership course on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, in 1997 and now calls Courtenay, on the Island’s east coast, home.
That passion has her doing all sorts of physical activities outdoors, from ski touring and mountain trips in the winter to mountain biking and climbing in the summer, as well as camping and sea kayaking adventures. She has worked as a ski patroller, kayak guide/instructor, youth educator and whale-watching guide/naturalist.
Her excitement at seeing wildlife is honest and infectious.
