In his home territory near the Rocky Mountains, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Kyle is a commercial and nature photographer who pursues his passion to create beautiful and meaningful images in challenging environments. Since learning traditional darkroom techniques, he has adapted these processes to the ever-changing landscape of photographic technology.
Kyle’s work has been published in National Geographic Travel, and he is proud to have been commissioned to document and promote successful land conservation projects for NGOs such as the Nature Conservancy of Canada and Ducks Unlimited.
As a photography guide, Kyle enjoys escorting artists, enthusiasts and photographers alike to the Arctic, Antarctic, Africa and the Rocky Mountains. With tourism, Kyle appreciates the break from merely taking photos and instead revels in making others the best photographers they can be. Kyle has been teaching polar photography since 2007 and seeks to foster an environment of inspiration, growth and learning for those who want to improve their skills and share the beauty and wonder of nature through the art of photography.
