((August 22 - September 13, 2011) Since the days of Christopher Columbus, explorers have sought a way to shorten the journey from Western Europe to the riches of the East. A northwest passage across the High Canadian Arctic was finally navigated in 1903, but not before many explorers lost their lives pursuing the dream. Today, you can relive the adventure on Quark's End of an Era, 23-day Arctic Passage expedition. Along the way, you'll enjoy the company of a distinguished guest - award-winning documentary filmmaker John Murray. David Burch will lead a navigation certification training program.
