Quark Expeditions & Partners Offer Two-Week Adventure Of A Lifetime Prize
[Waterbury, VT] – September 10, 2014 – Polar travel experts Quark Expeditions and contest partners LAN Airlines, Columbia Sportswear and Turismo Chile will send two lucky travelers on a once-in-a-lifetime, two-week expedition to Chile’s Torres Del Paine National Park and Antarctica. The ‘TurboDown to South America & Beyond’ grand prize winner and their guest will also receive new TurboDown gear to keep them warm on their adventure.
The sweepstakes winner will fly on LAN Airlines, part of the LATAM Airlines Group, from the United States to Punta Arena, Chile, where they’ll shuttle to EcoCamp Patagonia in the heart of the scenic Torres Del Paine National Park. There, they’ll spend five days in their own geodesic dome and visit attractions including the Paine Massif, Glacier Grey and the Three Towers.
The winner and their guest will then travel to Ushuaia, Argentina, to embark on Quark’s Antarctic Explorer voyage bound for the 7th Continent. Onboard they will enjoy lectures and presentations by the expedition team as the ship sails south along the Antarctic Peninsula. The expedition will focus on exploring the Peninsula’s west coast and its dramatic icescapes via Zodiac watercraft, as well as going ashore to walk along beaches covered by thousands of penguins.
The winner and their guest will receive new TurboDown gear from Columbia Sportswear to help them stay toasty warm on the seventh continent.
