On a recent Antarctic voyage, we spent a few hours one morning in Neko Harbour, which quickly became my favourite spot on our trip. Between the curious Gentoo penguin chicks, the occasional, thundering sound of glaciers calving, and the spectacular scenery, I could have happily sat there all day long. I was particularly struck by the formations in the snow and ice around the harbour and soon filled quite a bit of space on my camera with shot after glistening, blue-hued shot, just like this one. Just looking at this picture takes me back to that amazing day. A perfect photo for Ice Photo Wednesday!
