Quark Expeditions VP of Sales Named a Condé Nast ‘Expeditions Ship’ Travel Specialist

Thomas Lennartz Recognized by Condé Nast Traveler

[Seattle, WA] – 28 February 2017 – Industry leading polar expeditions company Quark Expeditions® is proud to announce that Thomas Lennartz, VP of Sales, is among the travel specialists being celebrated in a special Condé Nast Traveler feature this December. Lennartz has been recognized by Condé Nast as a Travel Specialist for “sharing (his) unparalleled knowledge” and “effervescent talent in turning any journey into a memorable, life-changing experience.”

Lennartz oversees B2B and B2C sales and leads business intelligence practices at Quark Expeditions®. A veteran of nine years in the sales and marketing of polar expeditions, Lennartz has long been hailed a polar expert and was previously named a Condé Nast Top Travel Specialist for Arctic Wildlife Safaris from 2012 to 2015. For several years, he’s spent approximately two months annually in Canada’s Far North, where he enjoys leading expeditions, exploring the tundra and writing about his experiences.

“I’m delighted and flattered to have been honored again by the travel experts at Condé Nast,” said Lennartz. “Polar travel is my calling and there’s nothing better in this world than helping others to experience the magic of these regions, as well.”

Condé Nast’s Travel Specialists are “experience makers,” according to feature writers Paul Brady and Melanie Wynne. They note these skilled professionals will “likely intuit your desires before you even know what they are,” and then, they’ll make them happen. Of Lennartz, the pair wrote, “He’ll get you on a mighty icebreaker —or plan a fully bespoke voyage on the 12-passenger Baltic exploration boat.”

Quark Expeditions® offers a vast selection of Arctic and Antarctic expeditions spanning ship and land-based itineraries including the Explorers’ Collection, a curated series of unique expeditions to the world’s most remote regions.

“Our people are among the greatest hospitality and travel advisers in the industry, and Thomas is a great example of the passion and expertise that makes our company unique,” said Andrew White, President of Quark Expeditions®. He added, “We’re truly passionate about Arctic and Antarctic expedition travel, and it’s fantastic to have that recognized by the esteemed team at Condé Nast.”
