Seattle, November 18, 2020:
Quark Expeditions, the Leader in Polar Adventures, has announced a portfolio of Arctic voyages geared to Canadians who wish to experience all the wonders of a polar expedition that Canada has to offer.
“Exotic. Untamed. Extraordinarily unfamiliar. That’s the essence of the Canadian Arctic,” said Andrew White, President of Quark Expeditions, from his Toronto office. “Ancient glaciers. Towering icebergs. Dramatic fjords. Incredible wildlife. And it’s all in your own backyard—the Canadian Arctic.”
White also announced today that all passengers who book on the five Canadian Arctic voyages in the upcoming 2021 season will travel on the game-changing polar vessel, Ultramarine. Equipped with two twin-engine helicopters, 20 fast-launching Zodiacs and the largest portfolio of off-ship adventure options in the industry, Ultramarine will deliver polar itineraries previously unheard-of in the Polar Region.
Guests will have the chance to see polar bears, muskoxen, whales and other wildlife, and explore the ancestral land of Inuit communities while learning from Inuit guides onboard Ultramarine and during onshore excursions. Additionally, guests will be immersed in polar history as they follow in the footsteps of famous explorers like Sir John Franklin.
The voyages that explore the Canadian Arctic in the 2021 season include:
- Arctic Express: In the Heart of the Northwest Passage
- Northwest Passage: In the Footsteps of Franklin
- Canada’s Remote Arctic: Northwest Passage to Ellesmere and Axel Heiberg Islands
- Northwest Passage: Epic High Arctic
- Best of Western Arctic: Canada and Greenland.
White announced that Canadian travellers will now be able to pay in Canadian currency, and take advantage of Quark Expeditions’ Book with Confidence Guarantee, which is first for the expedition industry. Quark Expeditions has created an industry-leading cancellation and rebook policy whereby guests are covered from initial booking date until their expedition cruise returns, providing guests with 100% risk-free cancellation and flexibility options. From “Booking to Boarding,” Quark Expeditions has covered guests all the way.
In addition, Quark Expeditions assembled a taskforce of physicians and polar experts to develop the most comprehensive health and safety plan in the industry, based on four pillars of Health and Safety: Clean Ships, Healthy Passengers, Healthy Crew and a Healthy Expedition Experience.
