About Andy White

Sea Kayak Guide
You may also see Andrew in the following role(s): Paddle Excursion Guide and Expedition Guide

Andy hails from the South Island of New Zealand. His passion for nature was nurtured as a child by his family's adventures in the country's beautiful landscapes. After graduating from Otago Polytechnic with a diploma in outdoor management and leadership, he began his career as an adventure guide.

The desire to explore and travel has taken Andy around the world. He has guided through amazing landscapes, leading kayak tours in Norway, Canada and New Zealand and dog sled tours above the Arctic Circle, in northern Norway. When he is not working, you will find Andy on some sort of adventure, skiing, climbing, hiking and biking. These adventures include a 7-week kayak trip along the Fiordland coast and a 3-week traverse of Kahurangi National Park, both true gems of New Zealand.

Andy’s love of the history and nature of the Polar Regions led him to guide for Quark Expeditions in the Antarctic summer of 2018. He loves to watch guests excel in their kayaking skills, with huge grins on their faces, in the midst of the most beautiful, wild landscapes he has ever padded in. He looks forward to sharing and growing his knowledge of the area with you along the way.
