From guiding in the African bushveld and heat, to the frozen worlds of ice, wildlife and cultural guide Juani has no regrets for pursuing polar exploration. Her first adventures and love for the Polar Regions began in 2011 while working onboard a relatively small, yet tough, superyacht vessel with a high ice-class, taking her from the Arctic southwards across the globe to the Antarctic continent. She joined Quark Expeditions in 2013 and currently holds a commercial RYA Yacht-master ticket.
Two of her favorite exploration voyages to date include arriving at the North Pole onboard the impressive 50 Years of Victory, and a thirty-five day voyage from Cape Horn to Cape Town visiting remote sub-Antarctic islands such as Bouvetoya, Marion Island and Crozet Island.
Juani loves observing polar guests discover the alluring peace, the infinite beauty and the life-changing experience of being in this sacred world.
