Joanne lives in the North- West of England and has nurtured a lifelong passion for travel and exploration. Her journeys have spanned all seven continents, each one offering a new perspective and deeper appreciation for the richness of our world. She has lived in Paris and backpacked solo in Asia but among her most memorable adventures are driving a humble and ancient Ford Fiesta from London through the varied landscapes of West Africa to Cameroon and navigating the Indian subcontinent in a tuk tuk—from the Himalayan foothills of Nepal to the tropical coastline of Kochi in South- West India. Joanne’s affection for this quirky three-wheeled vehicle eventually led her to purchase her own tuk tuk, which she drove around the UK. Joanne is a firm believer in lifelong learning, and she thrives on new challenges. She holds degrees in both Law and Classics. She has been a volunteer teacher and mentor and enjoys sharing her knowledge and encouraging others to explore their own potential.Joanne is passionate about engaging with people and listening to the stories that shape their lives. Her advice to new adventurers is to continue the legacy of explorers from the past by immersing yourselves in this beautiful environment and embrace the unexpected.When not exploring the polar regions, Joanne enjoys hiking in the Peak District, visiting Cornwall’s coastal villages, and reading Ancient Greek and Latin texts.
