Originally from Brazil, Monize has called Australia home since her early twenties. With a background in tourism and experience as a travel agent, her love for travel has always been driven by a curiosity about the world — its diverse cultures, landscapes, and wildlife.
Her passion for the outdoors and the natural environment has been a constant throughout her life. Whether exploring new destinations, spending time in nature, or staying active, Monize feels most connected when she is outside.
Monize’s journey with Quark Expeditions began shoreside in 2021 in a client experience role, followed by a position in onboard sales. Through these experiences, she gained a deep understanding of the guest journey — from the first spark of interest in a polar voyage to the reality of stepping into some of the most remote places on Earth. She understands the anticipation, the questions, and the expectations that come with such a unique trip.
As a Guest Services team member, she is excited to bring that insight into a more personal, face-to-face experience. She takes pride in creating a supportive and welcoming environment, helping guests feel comfortable, cared for, and fully present during what is often a once-in-a-lifetime adventure.
