About Michelle Sole
Born in England, Michelle spent her childhood between there and Andorra. As a result, she was educated in English, Spanish, Catalan and French. She competed for Great Britain as an alpine ski racer for 10 years, chasing winters around the world.
As a child, Michelle always had a love of and respect for nature and animals. On a family holiday to Africa in 2008, she fell in love with elephants. Three years later, she moved to South Africa, where she completed her studies to become a field guide and also spent 6 years working in the Waterberg Biosphere.
Michelle recently spent a year backpacking around the globe, traveling from one national park to another. She now divides her time between the African sun, the Antarctic and Arctic ice, sharing with guests her passion for whales, birds and photography. In her free time, Michelle can be found exploring the outdoors with her camera in tow.
