Born and raised on Georgian Bay, Ontario, Shane was destined to work on the water. He has been exploring Antarctica since the 1990s, semi-circumnavigating it numerous times, leading trips that have taken guests to some of the most remote areas of the continent. He truly wears his passion for the environment on his sleeve.

Born and raised on Georgian Bay, Ontario, Shane was destined to work on water. For 36 years, he worked for his father’s, and then his own, marina. His love of Antarctica is clear in his welcoming speeches on board as well as his passion for the environment.
Shane is an experienced leader with over 125 expeditions and 17 years under his belt. He has led trips for the past 12 years and has also included the remote islands of the South Pacific to his travelogue. Shane’s objective on any trip is to make sure you have the “trip of a lifetime.”
