About Jean Pennycook
Jean has worked in Antarctica for over 14 seasons, designing and implementing education and outreach projects to connect the public to the history, science and wonder of the 7th continent. Over 10 seasons, she lived with the Adélie penguins during their breeding season at Cape Royds.
Through an interactive website, Jean connects penguin research to classrooms across the country, providing a virtual field trip to the breeding colony. She earned her B.Sc. in wildlife biology from the University of California, Davis, and her M.Sc. from California State University, Fresno.
