Qi Su

Hailing from Guangzhou, China, Qi has resided in the U.S. since she was sixteen years old. She currently lives in Los Angeles and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. She also speaks some Spanish. Qi holds a master's degree in instructional technologies from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester, with a double major in business and film and a minor in music.

Before joining Quark Expeditions, Qi worked in the film industry in Hollywood, California. Her education in film studies also led her to photography and video production; she specializes in astrophotography, time-lapse photography and landscape photography. An avid snowboarder, Qi spends every spare minute snowboarding in winter and longboarding in summer. She is also a pianist, with over twenty years of practice.

After traveling to more than forty countries and both Polar Regions, Qi discovered her passion for the high-latitude world and became a part of the Quark Expeditions team. She appreciates every moment she spends in the rarely explored wilderness.
