About Annie Inglis
Originally from outback Australia, a far cry from icy polar environs, Annie was lured to Melbourne for an education in sciences and management. After living and working in the United Kingdom, she returned to Australia for her career, further studies and much better weather.
Back home in bayside Melbourne, Annie enjoys scuba diving, bush walking, camping, cycling and basically anything immersing her in the natural environment. Her penchant for all things nautical also led her to gain her commercial skipper’s licence.
Annie has worked every polar season since 2002, spending more time in the Arctic and Antarctica than on Australian terra firma. Privileged to be returning to the Arctic for her 19th year, Annie continues to be amazed, and humbled, by the beauty of this remote area. With this experience, and her passion for and knowledge of the wildlife, history and ecology of the Polar Regions, she is delighted to share your adventure in the Far North, helping you to better understand and appreciate the well-adapted animals of the marine and land environments.
