About Craig Morton
An environmental consultant, Craig has valuable experience as a marine ecology research assistant, science communicator and college biology lecturer. He holds 2 master’s degrees, the first in environmental studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, and the second (with distinction) in ecosystem-based management of marine systems from the University of St Andrews.
Scotland is Craig’s home and frequent outdoor playground. He particularly enjoys walking in the beautiful mountain landscapes but is not a big fan of the midges (voracious swarming biting insects).
Craig has traveled to many places around the world, but none have fascinated him quite like the Polar Regions. As an expedition guide, he is motivated by the opportunity to facilitate and enhance other people’s experiences in these special environments. He is passionate about polar wildlife and is enthralled by the majestic landscapes and seascapes, extreme weather, remoteness and rich history of these areas.
