Cory Jones

Ornithology Presenter

Cory lives in the Highlands of Scotland and has a lifelong passion for natural history which led him to a master’s degree in ecology. He has worked as a field guide across the world, running nature reserves in the UK, rainforest management projects in the Philippines and as an educator in both ecology and geography.   
He is an International Mountain Leader having led expeditions in Africa, Himalayas and South America. In 2010 Cory led a team crossing the Patagonian ice cap in the footsteps of Eric Shipton. He walked the PCT with his partner in 2017.
Cory is also a canoe and kayak guide. He has led canoe journeys in Canada’s pacific northwest on the Yukon and Peel Rivers. In 2022 he successfully crossed both the Arctic Circle and the Continental dive on a 1000-mile canoe expedition in Yukon and NW Territories. 
Cory is a passionate birdwatcher and when not working with Quark he can be found in Scotland birdwatching in and around his home in the Highlands.
