Lana Bendtsen

Expedition Guide

When spending time in nature, Lana feels truly at peace. The natural surroundings of South Greenland were a big part of her childhood, when she spent several years living on a sheep farm among mountains and animals. Going out for sailing trips, hiking, and camping with her family taught her how impactful nature can be, bringing peace of mind and soul when needed. These landscapes, found all over Greenland, are a part of Lana’s home.

After graduating from high school, she pursued her interest in nature and adventure by taking an Adventure Guide course in Qaqortoq and Kangerlussuaq, which led her to further education in tourism and hospitality.

When not exploring her surroundings, Lana can be found watching nature documentaries, doing sports, or listening to music while knitting. She loves to travel when the opportunity arises — something that began in 2013 when she traveled abroad for the first time to compete in a table tennis championship with her team. Lana is also passionate about languages and speaks Kalaallisut (Greenlandic), Danish, and English fluently, as well as conversational Spanish.
