Polar Voyages

Trip Reviews

"The constant light just makes it so much easier not to miss the breathtaking scenery on the way." J. S., Australia

Two Distinct Styles of Ship

The Arctic is a vast ice-encrusted ocean with a multitude of islands ringing it. The difference in environments requires two distinct styles of ship to explore the region. Our Icebreaker Adventures offer itineraries that take you to areas in the Arctic inaccessible to traditional expedition vessels, with aerial sightseeing by onboard helicopters. If you are an active traveler, then choose our Active Adventures with Zodiac cruising, shore landings and an optional adventure: kayaking.

Choosing between polar opposites can be tough for novice travelers, but here are some examples of icebreaker and active voyages in the Arctic.
