Sharon is Ex Military and moved from and instructional and operational role into the outdoor industry in New Zealand where she was born and proudly calls home.
For the last 13 years she has been an instructor and outdoor educator in New Zealand and overseas where she teaches a range of skills including rock climbing and bushcraft/hiking skills to up and coming instructors.
Sharon has always been intrigued with working in the poles and is looking forward to her third Arctic season with Quark as a sea kayak and naturalist guide. As part of adventuring and exploring wild and interesting locations she will hopefully have completed a crossing of Iceland before her 2017 season starts by hiking and packraft.
Sharon has also worked at Outward Bound New Zealand and for the New Zealand Police, in her spare time she can be found planning the next adventure somewhere around the world while hanging out with her German Shepard and exploring around home.
